Bettie Page Reveals All (Working Title)
Ventures Where No Documentary Has Gone Before

New York City, NY (April 20, 2009) Mark Mori, Producer/Director at Single Spark Pictures is pleased to announce four recently added team members to meet enhanced demands in the production of Bettie Page Reveals All (working title), the only documentary authorized by cult figure and 1950s pinup/fetish model extraordinaire, Bettie Page.

Mark Mori is beefing up his team for the home stretch of his production's completion while getting a jump-start on marketing his feature-length documentary film, Bettie Page Reveals All (working title).

Kevin Nicklaus has joined the film as Associate Producer. He will also function as Webmaster for BettiePageMovie.com. Mori stated, "Kevin is a great guy, whom I've know for nearly ten years. He'll be invaluable as a producer on the film and will guide the website's dynamic expansion. Kevin knows as much about Bettie as anyone in Hollywood, and has created a great strategy to expand the web presence of the film." Nicklaus, an experienced Hollywood executive, is currently Vice President for Development at The Wolper Organization, which is based at Warner Brothers Entertainment Inc.

Audrey Wu of Global Wu Communications, Director of Social Media, will coordinate social networking for the website, YouTube, Twitter, MySpace, Facebook, and newer means of social networking as they evolve.

Elliott Christ, a recent honors graduate of NYU Gallatin School, joins the film as a Production Associate and Assistant to Mark Mori.

Mark Mori is pursuing an innovative hybrid distribution strategy. "BettiePageMovie.com will drive both the marketing and distribution of the film," said Mori. "We'll distribute the film in all the traditional venues: festivals, theaters, retail DVD, TV, etc. We'll gather thousands of Bettie fans via the website and 'put them on the street and cyber pathways' as marketers and distributors for the film. We'll be distributing in ways that haven't been seen before."

To implement this strategy, Mori is also adding John Sidoti from Storm's Cellar and My Favorite Pinups to set up forums and blogs. They will launch on April 21, the day before what would have been Bettie's 86th birthday.

These new staff members will join current team members: Co-Producer Thorpe Mori, who has been on this project since he and Mark first met Bettie in 1996; Production Associate, Arianne Edmonds, and Tim Johnson of Omega Web Creations, who designed the website and is now handling Search Engine Optimization.

Bettie Page Reveals All (working title) chronicles Bettie Page's rise as a cult icon, revealing the story of her mysterious disappearance in 1957, through the end of her life in December, 2008. Producer/Director, Mark Mori, began production on Bettie Page Reveals All (working title) in 1996, when he first met and became friends with Bettie. She agreed to cooperate exclusively with him in making this authorized documentary about her life. Mori has been conducting lengthy interviews with Bettie, and many others who knew her and were inspired by her. After years of research and filming, Bettie Page Reveals All (working title) is coming to the big screen in Fall, 2009.

Mark Mori is an Academy Award nominated documentary filmmaker and Emmy Award winning Producer/Director of non-fiction television shows. His films have garnered awards, theatrical release and television broadcast worldwide.

ROD NORTH on why he loves Bettie Page:

"I love Bettie first of all, because she's HOT & GORGEOUS. But much more than that, she, more than any other model EVER, relayed to the camera, and then the viewer, a sense of fun, friendliness, amusement, whimsy, silliness, zest for life, & of course sexiness & seductiveness. She seemed like she would be a nice person, that she would like you & be nice to you. She never seemed bitchy, stuck up, or aloof. She had all the qualities that anyone would fall in love with, and the world continues to fall in love with her. As a painter, I ONLY want to paint Bettie. Her facial expressions are the most interesting of any model ever (second to Bettie, is Marilyn Monroe, as far as the facial expressions go). Then the hairstyle, that is the sexiest hairstyle a woman could ever wear (unlike Marilyn who wore many different hair styles). Any woman who wears their black hair long & wavy with bangs like that is wearing THE BETTIE PAGE HAIR STYLE, there's no arguing that. THAT LOOK BELONGS TO BETTIE. VERY FEW famous women can claim ownership of a specific hair style, I find that interesting also. Her naturalness and simplicity, I also think are unique. She just put on some red lipstick, and off to the beach to take some pictures. I bet all she had on those shoots, was her red lipstick and a hairbrush. And then to know that she made so many of her garments, at a time when a woman couldn't buy a bikini just anywhere (or maybe it was impossible)."

Even with four burlesque shows all on the same night, the Abbey Pub held a strong, full house! The Bettie Page Tribute clip introduced the show and, judging by the applause, was very, very well-received.

Thanks to Bettina May, Go-Go Amy, Vincent Drambuie and all the folks with The Pretty Things Peep Show for showing our 3 minute Bettie Tribute on their recent tour!

The Bettie Page video tribute screened at the New York Rubber Ball on January 18 at Rebel in Manhattan, where director, Mark Mori, was presented with a framed poster of Bettie Page in appreciation.

I’m profoundly saddened by the passing of Bettie Page.  Millions of her fans worldwide have felt truly inspired by her as the ultimate pin-up goddess.  But, what I regret is the loss of a friend, who was most of all a warm, joyous and disarmingly honest woman.  No matter what naughty or forbidden poses Bettie struck in her photographs, it’s this same joie de vivre which animated her fans over the last 58 years.  There’s never been anyone like her, nor will there ever be.  She’ll be remembered with love and affection always.
