Why I Love Bettie Page
While in post production on Bettie Page Reveals All, Bettie fans from around the world are getting in touch with us.

"I’m definitely inspired by Bettie Page. I think that she is a classic beauty. She touched women all around the world. There was something naughty about her but also very charming and sweet and kind. There’s a lot of girls out there who want to be naughty. Even though Bettie wasn’t naughty, she had this character about her that was very frisky. And a lot of girls would prefer to be the bad girl as opposed to the good girl. So, I think Bettie Page fits the mold of a lot of girls out there, who kind of want to get out of that “good girl” state. So it’s pretty cool.
I will always be a Bettie Page fan. Always. I’ll always admire her struggle, I’ll always admire her ambition, I’ll always admire her amazing photographs. She’s just beautiful to me. I love her."

"I love Bettie Page because she was comfortable in her own skin, she did what she wanted to do and she did it beautifully."
From the UK here's:

“To me, Bettie epitomizes everything that is truly beautiful. While it was Irving Klaw who took her photographs, essentially making her famous, the fact is none of these photographs would have ever reached such a wide demographic, were it not for the sheer intensity and glamour that Bettie brought to them. Bettie paved the way for many great, beautiful, and influential people of the twentieth century, such as Dita Von Teese, Bernie Dexter and others without whom Bettie may have never become the fabulous persons they are today. I feel honoured to get tied up during photo-shoots, and that is all down to the years of Miss Page's relentless sexualization of bondage and sadomasochism on film. Bettie Page will never be forgotten, and will always be remembered as one of the greats of the 50's.”

"The passion for vintage pin-ups has been like a thread through most of my life and when I discovered Bettie Page I was more than hooked. She unites so many different aspects of women in one beautiful package. She was naughty, but nice. Innocent, but dangerous. Revealing, but teasing. She was always herself in pictures and she looked so incredibly comfortable and confident in front of a camera.
Bettie's work was one of my biggest inspirations when I started to work as a pin-up photographer and certainly when I got persuaded to step into the limelight myself and inspire ordinary girls to get some good old fashioned glamour into their lives with my photographic company the Hourglass and I pose, perform and sing under the name Nicole A Lure.
I hope that I can keep some of Bettie's style alive in my own work, even though there can only ever be one Bettie Page."
Checking in from Mississippi:

Sherri Hurd
"Bettie Page, to me was an unique individual. She brought an innocence to sexuality that was not common. Her smile was radiant and her raven hair was strikingly beautiful. I love the way Bettie was frisky and drew you in to with her playfulness. Some of my favorite pictures of Bettie were the bondage scenes. It is amazing how her smile and the sexuality of the photos combined in perfection. Bettie was truly a unique and unforgetable lady. Oh, that saucy innocence."
