In case you didn't catch Sunday night's "60 Minutes" broadcast, they had a piece titled "A Living for the Dead." The story opened with Mark Roesler, Bettie's agent.

<< A Living For The Dead

September 27, 2009 5:00 PM

Marilyn Monroe, James Dean and Elvis are dead and now, so is Michael Jackson. But as Steve Kroft reports, they are very much alive when it comes to earning money for their estates. >>

The complete video is posted to the "60 Minutes" site:

How do you feel about Bettie being a "brand" after death?

What a paradox that 60 Minutes chose to refer to Roesler's clients as "Working Stiffs." It's starting to look like Mark Roesler is the biggest stiff there is -- or at least his fingers were too stiff to be bothered cross-posting the marketing mania he discussed on his news page. I just eyeballed that page and noticed "Bettie Page Reveals All" was mentioned.

You'd think he'd want people here to know he's got the documentary on his mind. Perhaps I've got it all wrong. Perhaps he's supposed to think that his news page is the center of the Internet and the universe will go out of its way to read his news page.

For those of us who grasp the vast data flow that is the web, here's Roesler's post.

One Year Anniversary of Bettie Page’s Death, December 11, 2009.

by Mark Roesler on Dec.11, 2009, under News

Even though Friday, December 11, marks the one-year anniversary of the death of legendary 1950s pin-up model, Bettie Page, her presence is heavily felt with the demand and interest in Bettie Page’s haunting beauty, which is more popular now than ever. Bettie Page’s timeless and iconic beauty has placed her in a unique position as the girl next door and the ultimate sex goddess with the simple wink of her eye.

Although Bettie Page lived a full and dramatic life of 85 years, she is forever remembered as she was in the height of her modeling heyday during the short period between 1950 and 1957, because of her unforgettable raven black hair, trademark bangs, and racy red lips. Among the ranks of other iconic stars of the past, from Marilyn Monroe, James Dean, and Elvis Presley to now Michael Jackson, Bettie Page has the “it” factor which transcends her above the influence of time, trend, and tradition.

The demand for everything Bettie Page is evident in music, fashion, films, magazines, and events across the world. As was reported on NBC nightly news this week, Bob Dylan’s new Christmas album is topping the charts this season in popularity and in sales, and he chose none other than Bettie Page to feature as album art for his seasonal sensation. And it was no accident that Beyonce emulated the signature Bettie Page style in her new music video with Lady Gaga, Video Phone.

So where can ladies and men go to get in on Bettie Page mania for this holiday season and beyond? There are three “Bettie Page” boutiques in West Hollywood and Las Vegas with plans to expand the “Bettie Page” boutiques in several locations within the coming year. In addition, lingerie store, Secrets in Lace is continuing to expand its Bettie Page lingerie and stocking line to include leopard print and more. Furthermore, Dolce & Gabbana will launch an international high-end Bettie Page t-shirt collection for men and women in fall 2010.

Bettie Page’s mystery still has everyone asking, “who was the real woman behind the mesmerizing queen of curves? We will soon have our answer with the definitive biographical film of Bettie Page’s true story, Bettie Page Reveals All, set to debut in 2010 at film festivals and in theaters. To get a sneak peak extended versions of the film trailer and extra footage will be available to viewers at the Veneration of Bettie Page burlesque festival in New York City this weekend, on the film’s official website http://www.BettiePageMovie.com, and on Bettie Page’s official website, http://www.BettiePage.com.

Bettie Page is many things to many people, but out of all of those things, she is nothing short of legendary. From sex kitten to innocent girl next door, Bettie Page began her worldwide impact in the 1950s with her unprecedented modeling work, sparking the sexual revolution of the 1960s. Now, well into the 21st Century, Bettie Page remains relevant, inspirational, and influential. Simply put, it doesn’t get bigger than Bettie Page.

60 Minutes re-ran their story on Mark Roesler CEO of CMG, repping 250 dead celebs, including Bettie Page.

During a tour of the CMG's basement archives, correspondent Steve Kroft states "they range from low end tchotchke's...to the playfully prurient outfits inspired by the late pin up queen Bettie Page. They're marketed as Halloween costumes but Roseler says they seem to sell all year round."

Costume in hand Roesler says, "This is the devil costume."

Kroft: "Whip included?"

Roesler: "The whip is included, yes, and the tail and the horns."
