While prepping for the Tempest Storm thread, I found an article that mentioned "Helen (Treasure Chest) West" -- which raises an identity question. Was there ever such a person? Or did the typesetter make a boo-boo, and should have typed "Evelyn" instead of Helen?

This is the only Treasure Chest gal we know of.... who was a huge publicity seeker. One of her stunts was to insure her chest-al region for $50,000 with Lloyds of London. (Hence, her "middle name" of "Treasure Chest.) Of course, that amount paled compared to Tempest's amount.... which will be covered in the Tempest thread.

Meanwhile, here's the person we think should have been mentioned had the typesetter not gotten distracted:

Know anyone else who used "treasure chest" as a middle name?... and had "West" as a surname?

Looks like the newspaper's typesetter made an oopsie that the proofreader missed. They must have been fixated on her treasure chest -- instead of the text!
