Hope you have a great July 4th, no matter which side of The Pond you're on!

Here's a scary July 4th tidbit from hot.aol.com:

> Do you know why we celebrate July 4? In a recent poll, 14% of US teenagers
> thought it was the day America declared its independence from France, while
> 5% thought we broke away from Canada.

Going to what's touted as the world's largest fireworks display just a few blocks away on the Hudson River. Only problem is - 3 million people are expected to be there!

Careful who you say that to! People in Brooklyn, on Roosevelt Island, and Manhattan's east siders were pretty peeved when the fireworks were moved to the Hudson last year -- part of the wingdings honoring the 400th Anniversary of Henry Hudson’s sail up the river that now bears his name.

Viewers in Jersey and along Manhattan's west side were ecstatic that the location was changed from the East River.

The Grucci family used to literally be the Macy's fireworks. Sure is a surprise to see they've gone their separate ways.

No big whoop for native New Yorkers! It's a big river. Many viewing locations.

And since Straight No Chaser is already on this Forum (Christmas music), you'll be hearing them as part of the fireworks music ("Alexander's Ragtime Band" and Sousa's "Stars and Stripes Forever"). Still, I'm betting your daughter is way more enthralled by Justin Bieber's involvement.
