I fell over a post that the very talented band, Superchief Trio, will have a Bettie Page tribute show on July 31st (Providence, Rhode Island area). What do you suppose will be going on there?!? If you go, do share your experience with us!

The Show that Superchief Trio will be performing at is actually being produced by me. My Name is Bettysioux Tailor and I am a Burlesque performer from Providence.
A Salute to Bettie Page will be taking place on July 31st at 8 p.m at the German Club in Pawtucket. The Evening will be full of Burlesque, Belly dance, and three fashion shows from Local Designers featuring Vintage Style Swimwear and Lingerie. After the Last Fashion Show, Supercheif will start their set of extremely danceable Blues and swing. There will also be a display with Bettie Art/Photos and Memorabilia vintage and new. This is my first tribute and if all goes well I would like to make this an annual thing. Help Spread the word! Let me know if you would like more info. Thanx Bettysioux

Thanks for posting the info about Superchief Trio's Bettie Page tribute. It's so wonderful that you're doing it!

I wanted to offer something for your program from the documentary authorized by Bettie. I could send you a DVD of the tribute to Bettie we put together (3 minutes) or the trailer for the movie (a new, previously unseen, version of the one on the website). Bettie tells several funny stories from her modeling days in both videos. The tribute DVD has been screened in connection with various burlesque performers around the country: for example, The Pretty Things Peep Show national tour and The Jigglewatts Burlesque Bettie Page tributes in Austin and Houston Texas, and with bands at The Viper Room in LA and blues clubs in Nashville. Of course, you'd be welcome to screen the DVD before deciding whether to use it.
